Met Gala 2026 took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, USA, on May 4, 2026 (local time). The annual fashion event celebrated the Costume Institute's Spring 2026 exhibition, namely, Costume Art, with dress code: Fashion Is Art. The latter was therefore the fashion theme of the event this year.
As in previous years, Met Gala 2026 was attended by many celebrities who sported stunning outfits. Albeit the latter are expected to have been determined mainly by the event's fashion theme, i.e., Fashion Is Art, they may also reflect the celebrities' personal tastes and preferences for fashion, or endorsement of the brands and designers behind the outfits.
